Anonymous asked: In a reply to an 'Ask' from a person who claimed that his grandfather, who was a Mason, practiced Satanism, you stated that Satanism is atheistic. That statement is just as ignorant as a person who claims that Freemasonry is Satanistic. Atheist do not believe in any deities or anything supernatural, so they would see Satanism as being just as rediculous as any other religion. Do you believe that the Grand Orients are Satanistic because they do not require belief in a deity?
No on all fronts. By not requiring a belief in a higher power, that does not automatically make one an Satanist. Furthermore, there are Grand Orients, Brazil and Italy, that do require a belief in a higher power.
Furthermore, I didn’t claim satanism is aesthetic. It’s 100% different since it’s a Religion, and Freemasonry isn’t.
I’m pretty apathetic about most satanism and I do not believe something is inherently satanic because it does not require a belief in god. The person who sent me that ask had little grasp of anything beyond what they’ve seen on youtube.
